Rural Mental Wellness Toolkit
In rural and agricultural communities across North America, there is a mental health crisis due to the lack of resources that exist, and the stigma discourages people from getting help. We have created this Rural Mental Wellness Toolkit to provide resources for individuals living in agricultural and rural communities.
The Rural Mental Wellness Toolkit is an online community-based mental health program that creates access to mental health education and peer support training, as well as practical and relatable resources for those living in rural and agricultural communities.
You will find engaging resources for audiences including youth, families and seniors. The Inspiring Stories for You section showcases videos of rural residents who open up the conversation around mental health and stigma. A Peer Support Worker Training Program will be offered in the upcoming months for people living in rural communities. Go HERE for more information or to register.
Dave Richardson, Co-Founder of the Stigma-Free Society, welcomes you to the Rural Mental Wellness Toolkit.
“I’m so excited to be able to introduce you to the Rural Mental Wellness Toolkit that we have developed specifically to reach out into the rural & agricultural communities and provide resources, help and support, and in particular to provide encouragement. We all need help sometimes.”
